Kiri Amma Danaya

There was a Kiri Amma Danaya at our home on 20th June. Before this ceremony we prepared traditional sweetmeats such as keum, kiriya, milk rice,...etc. It is a traditional and cultural practice of Sir Lankans.💖💖

Only women take part in this Kiri Amma Danaya. It is unfortunate to note that this practice is diminishing at present. This religious ceremony begins in the early morning. 👩👩

Only women take part in this practice. Early morning mothers came and we offered kiri danaya. At the end of this practice we gave the food and sweetmeats we prepared to the neighbors and nearest friends. It was a beautiful day.😍😍😍😍
